Tree Removal Service Tustin, CA

Sometimes tree removal is necessary to keep a residential or business property both safe and beautiful.

Tree removal is a very delicate process, and extremely technical. Although it's something that many people try to attempt themselves, we can't stress enough that it's not a task that should be left to someone who is inexperienced. So DIY tree removal is absolutely out of the question. And when you do decide to hire a tree service to do the job for you, make sure that they are not amateurs. If you own a home or manage a business property and some unlicensed contractor is injured while trying to remove a tree on your property, you can be held liable for any damages caused. We've heard the horror stories, and you definitely don't want that to happen to you.

There is also the chance that such an individual could cause damage to your property and then suddenly vanish from the face of the earth. It is important to hire a reliable tree care company that you can trust to conduct themselves properly and professionally, with the correct certifications. It is also imperative to hire tree service professionals in Orange County who are properly insured to remove and transport the tree away from your property.

If you're in need of a tree removal service, don't settle for anything less than the best in Orange County.  Call us today at (949) 264-5444.

How can you tell if a tree needs to be removed?

This is a great question, and it's one we hear all the time. There are many factors to consider, and we'll name just a few here to get you started. But this list is by no means all-inclusive, so if you have a feeling that a tree on your property may need to be removed, please contact us and we'll assess the situation.

Check for trunk damage

Severe damage to the main trunk is often a sign that the tree should be removed. Look for vertical cracks, seams, dead branch stubs, or any large wounds that would indicate that the inside of the tree is decaying. But trees can heal, so the wound should be significant for you to consider removal. We're talking damage that is more than 25% of the circumference of the trunk. Anything less than that has a chance of healing on its own over time.

See if the trunk is hollow

Many trees can live for years and years with a hollow trunk, because the main tissues that support its life can be found on the outer edges. So just because a tree appears to be healthy on the outside does not mean that it shouldn't be removed. Hollow trees are weak, and weak trees are dangerous. If one-third of the interior of the tree is hollow or rotted out, the tree should be removed. But we understand that this can be a difficult determination for a homeowner or business owner to make, so please contact us if you need help with this.

Do you see a bunch of dead branches on one side of the tree?

This is evidence of root or trunk damage on one side of the tree. Since the dead side weighs less than the living side, the tree will be imbalanced and potentially more prone to falling. If this is the case with your tree, it will definitely need to be evaluated by Orange County Tree Care Company.

See if the tree is leaning

Leaning is probably one of the more obvious signs that a tree may need to be removed, because it presents many more hazards than a tree that is growing straight up. If a tree is leaning, it's likely due to breakage or weakening of the roots, which will only get worse over time. It does not take much of a lean to make a tree a hazard. As a general rule of thumb, if a tree is more than 15% off from it's vertical (which really isn't a lot) it should probably be removed.

Removing trees close to power lines

Any trees that are under power lines should reach a mature height of nothing more than 25 feet. A tree that is growing towards power lines might not necessarily need to be removed, but it will definitely need to be thinned out. This is most certainly not a task that should be attempted by a homeowner or a property manager. In the event of wet weather, electricity can arc as much as ten feet to the foliage of a wet tree and ground out. This can cause power failure or even property damage. It cannot be stressed enough how dangerous it is for someone inexperienced to attempt to perform any kind of maintenance on a tree that has grown close to power lines. If you encounter this situation, please contact us so that we can perform this service properly.

Residential Tree Removal FAQs

  • What should I look for in a tree removal company?

You'll want to hire a reliable tree care service that treats their customers with dignity and respect. You'll want them to perform quality work and do the job right the first time. If they are responsible, they will be honest in everything they do. They should also be insured to protect both themselves and you. And above all, you'll want experienced arborists who know how to handle every type of situation thrown at them.

  • Why is it important to hire a tree care company with insurance?

By hiring a tree service with insurance, you are protecting yourself. Working with an uninsured company will leave you open to being financially liable for any injuries or property damage that occurs during the service (even if its the person performing the service who gets injured.)

  • What is the tree removal process?

This process is very complex, and there are a lot of steps. But we'll just outline a few to give you a general idea. After proper assessment and planning, Timberr Tree Care Company will first use state-of-the-art tools to cut the tree into sections starting at the top and coming down to the bottom. So if you were hoping for a dramatic lumberjack show, you unfortunately won't get one here. BUT you can rest assured that that although the process isn't as entertaining, it will definitely be safe for you and your property.

For very large trees, the use of a crane will allow us to lift the tree and remove it instead of letting it fall somewhere on your property. This minimizes the risk of damage to your home or property. Afterwards, wood chippers and a logging truck help us to tote the tree safely away from your property.

  • How much does tree removal cost?

Unfortunately, we don't have standardized pricing across the board. The tree removal price depends on quite a few factors, including height, diameter, the condition of the tree, and how accessible it is. Then there is the matter of what you'd like done with the tree once it's removed. Depending on how far you are from us, we might also have to charge for the mileage and drive time. With all of this in mind, a tree removal service price can be a few hundred to a few thousand dollars. But trust us on this: tree removal is extremely complex. Our professionals at Timberr Tree Care Company are top-notch arborists who are well-versed in completing these time-consuming and dangerous services in a safe manner, and you absolutely cannot put a price on safety. We promise you, we're worth every penny.

  • Should I remove a tree that's close to my house?

Trees that are close to our homes provide a lot of beauty, as well as practical benefits to our properties, such as shelter and shade (or even a treehouse for the kids.)

But on the flipside, overgrown branches can scratch siding or windows. Fallen leaves on the roof can contribute to rot. Root systems can be shockingly large, and undermine the foundation of your home, causing cracks and other problems.

If you suspect that a nearby tree may be threatening your home, please reach out to us and schedule an appointment for an inspection. This service can be tricky, but with careful planning, Timberr Tree Care Company can get it done safely.

  • Is stump grinding necessary?

Technically not, but it's worth it. An unground stump can become a haven for pests of all kinds...some of which, you really don't want to think about. They can also be an obstacle when mowing, or simply an eyesore in the middle of your beautiful landscaping. Sometimes, to try to save a few bucks, people try to use harsh chemicals to kill the stump, but these are rarely successful. In some cases, they can actually make the stump more of an eyesore than it was before. But we understand; tree removal can get expensive, and stump grinding can be the last thing on your mind if you've had to spend quite a bit on a removal service. So we can always schedule this for a later date, but we recommend having it done within months of a tree removal service.
